Dan died peacefully at home in Portland on November 10, 2009. His wishes were that there be no funeral or gathering. I truly believe that he didn’t want to cause us any more pain than we have already gone through. His family will scatter his ashes in the Nestucca River, at their beach house.

Dan was in all aspects a “good racer”. He was a brother, a father, and a friend to anybody that needed someone in those roles. Dan took in anybody that needed help, and asked for no favors in return. He was a very good friend and he will be missed.
