![]() Soon we will all be at the track for the first Oregon Region Road Racing Event for 2019. Let’s hope for a little love from the sunshine gods to greet our new and seasoned drivers to the track. We will start with the annual SCCA Licensing school put on by Pro Drive Racing School in conjunction with the Friday test day. The March 30/31 event is a double regional offering practice, qualifying and race on Saturday and qualifying and race on Sunday. Make sure to check out the Spec Miata race for some great wheel-to-wheel action as the Spec Miata Tour will be joining us for this event. Thank you SM Tour! Our May 18, 19 event will be the third year Oregon Region has held a Super Tour Majors. We are excited to welcome back Formula Car Challenge which will add several cars to our open wheel group. The August Triple Regional is lining up to be a full event with lots of cars. We are excited to announce a new support series that will be joining us. Radical Cup North America Series is the continent’s premier championship for British built Radical Sportscars– the largest prototype race car manufacturer in the world. Plus, we are looking forward to the return of Great American Stock Car Series. Support series such as Radical and GASS bring additional revenue to the race weekend. This is a huge benefit towards keeping Oregon Regions road racing program healthy. Spec Miata Challenge will also be joining us for this event. A change for 2019, is the addition of a September double regional during one of the driest months of the year! This final event will be held on September 14 and 15. We are looking forward to another successful year and to seeing you all at each one of Oregon Region's 2019 road racing events.

![]() The Blue Marble Cocktails Radical Cup North America series is the continent’s premier championship for British built Radical Sportscars– the largest prototype race car manufacturer in the world. The spec-series offers multi-class Le Mans style racing for a fraction of the price. Almost all Radical models can enter, including the world’s most prolific sportsracer, the SCCA P2 eligible Radical SR3, and the 400+ horsepower V8 powered Radical SR8, which typically laps faster than the latest GT3 machinery. Ample practice, qualifying and three 40-minute races, along with trackside VIP hospitality and social events ensures each Blue Marble Cocktails Radical Cup event is action packed both on and off the track. Over the years the series has been responsible for transforming club racers, country-club members, gentleman drives and young-guns from across the USA, Canada, and Central and South America into pro-level racers. Previous Radical Cup drivers include 2014 Le Mans GTE-Am class winner David Heinemeier-Hansson, 2017 European Le Mans Series LMP3 Champion John Falb and 2017 Pirelli World Challenge GTSA Champion George Kurtz. The August 9-11 Portland event will also double as a round of the Radical Canada West regional cup, and is one of two West Coast events for this year’s national Blue Marble Cocktails Radical Cup series, which will also visit Sonoma Raceway with Speed Ventures, Sept 27-29. Other events in the 6 round, 18 race championship include the season opener with Blancpain GT World Challenge at Virginia International Raceway, April 26-28, the NTT IndyCar Series REV Group Grand Prix at Road America, June 20-23, and CREVENTIC’s Hankook 24H Series at Circuit of the Americas, Nov 14-16.
