Time Trials Oregon Region SCCA
The Time Trials Experience
Oregon Region Time Trial events are designed to be highly engaging, accessible and inclusive. The current venue will be similar to Track Night in America, where the first car on track is at 4 pm and last car exits the track at about 8 pm. The run format is still on development but we do have Novice, Intermediate, and Advanced grouping. Each group has a coach and each session has a debrief. The coach's job is to make sure everyone approaches the event from the perspective of "Same Team," with shared goals of clean laps and safe, fun and fair competition.
1. Weekend or Full Membership of the SCCA.
2. Valid government-issued driver’s license.
3. Be able to handle the physical and mental demands of competition for the length of a session for each session of the event. Click here to see detailed description.
4. A Time Trials License from the SCCA/recognized sanctioning body or a competition license from a recognized sanctioning body. A novice license is easy to attain by visiting this page, scroll down to the application and fill out the form. Basically, if you have participated in a couple of track events, including Track Night in America, you may qualify for a Novice License. We can assign you a Novice License on site if needed.
NO TRANSPONDER IS NEEDED. Just bring your phone with a track app like Harry's Lap Timer, Track Addict, Etc.
